


Alea Pinar Du Pre
Alea Pinar Du Pre is an internationally acclaimed mid-career artist whose work bridges the worlds of tradition and innovation. Born in Vienna, Austria, in 1972, and with Turkish roots, she currently lives and works in both Amsterdam and Istanbul. Her artistic journey has been shaped by the influences of the Künstlerhaus and Wiener Werkstätte movements, as well as her unique autodidactic talent.

From a young age, Alea displayed a remarkable creative drive, producing over 500 drawn paper dolls by age six and experimenting with oil colors and innovative printing techniques by her early teens. Between 1995 and 2005, she developed a distinctive style of cubistic oil paintings depicting the vibrant street scenes of Istanbul.

Alea's inspiration is drawn from diverse fields such as science, science fiction, history, and anthropology, which fuel her innovative approach to art. Her work is characterized by a seamless blend of digital art and traditional techniques, resulting in creations that feel simultaneously futuristic and grounded in classic artistry.
