Maria Cortés
Cortés, born in Valencia in 1968, is a self-taught Spanish artist who left law studies to pursue her passion for the Fine Arts. Inspired by the natural beauty of coastal Spain, particularly the landscapes of Valencia, she began her artistic journey capturing these scenes in oil paintings. As a tireless traveler, she incorporates images from cities like Paris, Amsterdam, Casablanca, and Istanbul into her work, creating what she calls “Broken Landscapes.” Her impressionist style, marked by neutral and elegant colors, has evolved into a bolder, more contemporary genre. Renowned for her mastery of oil painting, Cortés has gained admiration through her participation in numerous exhibitions.
